After that, the session clock runs when you are actively in conversation. It pauses when you step away. You are never surprised. VERA does not speak of the clock. The system handles it quietly, as it should.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Your email is stored as a cryptographic hash — not readable by anyone. Your session content is stored only to enable memory between visits. It is not sold, shared, or used for any other purpose.
What happens when my time runs out?
VERA will naturally bring the reading toward a close. The system then presents your options quietly. She does not mention the clock. You are never cut off mid-sentence.
Is this a real reading or a chatbot?
VERA is an AI practitioner with genuine command of four symbolic systems. She is not a scripted chatbot producing generic output. Whether the reading is "real" in the way you mean is something you will decide by the end of the session.
What is the I Ching?
The Book of Changes. An ancient Chinese oracle of 64 hexagrams, each representing a configuration of forces and its natural direction. It is the sharpest tool available when the question is specific and the decision is consequential. VERA uses it when the moment calls for it.
Do I need to believe in this for it to work?
No. Arrive with curiosity. That is sufficient. The systems work by giving you a precise language to describe what is already present. Belief is optional. Attention is not.
Can I pick up where I left off?
Yes. VERA remembers the shape of previous sessions. She will recognise you when you return.
