The numbers are the most underestimated of the four systems I use. People arrive expecting something like a personality quiz — a number attached to a trait, a trait attached to advice. What numerology actually offers, when read by someone who knows it, is considerably more specific than that.
Your Life Path number — derived from your birthdate — describes the fundamental orientation of your experience in this lifetime. Not who you are in a fixed sense, but the terrain you were given to navigate. The Expression number, derived from your full birth name, describes the instrument you have to navigate it with. These two numbers in relationship to each other tell you most of what you need to know about where a person's friction comes from and where their leverage is.
Numerology is the tool I reach for when a question involves business. A business name is not decoration — it is the first vibration a market encounters. A name that produces a number incompatible with the founder's Life Path creates friction that most people feel but cannot name. When I see that mismatch, I name it. When I see alignment, I name that too, and explain why the business has probably been easier than people expected.
Personal Year cycles are where numerology becomes a timing instrument. The number of the current year in your personal cycle shapes what kind of effort is likely to bear fruit and what kind of effort is likely to dissipate. A 1 year wants initiation. A 4 year wants structure and patience. An 8 year wants decisive action on material matters. Working against the cycle is not impossible. It is simply expensive.

Begin a Numerology consultation with VERA.
Begin.Numerology is the study of the symbolic significance of numbers as they relate to names, birthdates, and recurring patterns in a person's experience. The primary systems are Pythagorean (the most widely used in the West), Chaldean (older and considered by some practitioners to be more precise), and Kabbalah (rooted in Hebrew letter values). VERA works primarily with the Pythagorean system and draws on Chaldean for name analysis when relevant.
Core numbers include the Life Path (from birthdate), Expression or Destiny (from full birth name), Soul Urge (from vowels in the name), and Personality (from consonants). Together these form a profile that describes orientation, instrument, motivation, and outer presentation. Personal Year cycles run 1 through 9 and reset; Master Numbers 11, 22, and 33 are not reduced and carry heightened intensity.
Numerology is most useful for questions involving career direction, business naming, identity transitions, and timing. For questions involving specific decisions in the immediate present, VERA will likely recommend the I Ching alongside it.
